Asus introduces ZenBook UX305 with Intel Core M

Asus has updated its ZenBook range of laptops with the new UX305 which features a sleek design and an Intel Core M processor. See also: Best laptops of 2015.Proving that laptops can still be sexy and interesting, the ZenBook UX305 comes with a stunning 12.3 mm wedge design and weighs just 1.2 kg making it a rival to the MacBook Air. In fact, it's both thinner and lighter than its Apple rival.
Asus is describing it as the 'ultimate ultraportable laptop for discerning users' thanks to its design, specs and 10 hour battery life.Beyond design, the ZenBook UX305 is powered by Intel's latest Core M processor, 8 GB of RAM and a SATA 6 Gbit/s SSD which offers 128 GB of storage space – after the pre-installed Windows 8.1 operating system, of course. Users will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 when it arrives later this year.The UX305 has three SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, one of which supports ASUS Charger+ technology for rapid recharging of mobile devices. Asus will supply the laptop with USB to Ethernet and DisplayPort to VGA adapters.
Remaining specs include a 13.3in IPS touchscreen with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. Asus touts a 300cd/m2 brightness, 770:1 contrast ratio and anti-glare coating. There's a full-size keyboard and Asus SonicMaster audio which includes Bang & Olufsen technology.Asus ZenBook UX305 will be available from retailers including Currys, PC World and John Lewis with a price of £649.99.
